Job Summary:To deliver the highest possible standard of IT Service Provision with particular reference to undertaking the day-to-day workload within IT Service Support Team. In addition, to work closely with the Technical Projects Team providing technical support, when required.Key Responsibilities:Action the resolution of IT problems and requests in an efficient and professional manner, whilst conforming to trust and departmental polices, procedures and working practices.Log IT-related calls for faults and requests using the Support Service system.Liaise with users regarding their calls, providing full information and advice and referring complaints in line with departmental policy.Participate in identification and rectification of hardware and software faults, installations of hardware and software, including File Servers, Desktops, Laptops, PC Tablets and associated peripherals such as printers, PDAs etc and updating and closing of call logs.Assist in the provision of regular reports on progress, status and achievements for both Management and Users.Provide a technical support resource to other Sections within IM&T. Act as point of contact for computer-related advice, particularly within the desktop environment, seeking further advice and information within IM&T, when necessary. Assist in maintaining complete and up-to-date documentation regarding Technical Support functions, including technical and operational policies and procedures.
